Pink Pearl Ring
There is something so feminine about pearls. They are elegant and timeless, not to mention versatile and lovely.
Pearl also make great beads to wire wrap into rings. With just a couple of notes. It is difficult to find a pearl, large enough, with a large enough hole to accomodate 20 guage wire.
This is where you have a couple of options. You can either drop your wire down to 22 guage but it is not recomended to use a lower gauge due to the lack of strength and structure for the ring.
Or, you can use Swarovski crystal pearls with large holes. That is what I have used here. Swarovski's crystal faux pearls have a leaded crystal core that makes them heavier, and Swarovski's pearl coating is similar to a natural pearl lustre and is consistent in color.
It is also resistant to perspiration, UV rays, perfumes, scratches and washing and warms to the skin like real pearls do.There is nothing lovelier than a freshwater pearl in a wire wrapped ring.
The next time you are at a bead shop or attend a bead show, bring along a snippet of 20 guage wire and hunt out pearls that will fit the wire...you'll have a better selection which will result in pretty rings with organic shapes.

Fun to make, easy to create...wire wrapped rings. I am a wire wrapping junkie. Self taught by watching multiple You Tube videos, some good...most madening...and hundres of wire wrapped rings later, I've gotten it. I think.
While sterling silver wire is alway a good, if not high end choice for wrapping rings, I prefer to use the Artistic non-tarnish silver wire. It is bright, won't scratch or fade, and as the name says, non-tarnish. This no fuss wire is perfect for rings who's fingers they sit on are busy with dishes, gardening and daily life.
This ring features a Swarovski Golden Shadow helix crystal, wrapped with non-tarnish silver and sells for $18.
